1.5 dCi Boost Problem SOLVED (Easy Fix)

While driving a Renault Clio 1.5 dCi and trying to accelerate hard it suddenly lost power, dash started beeping and showing the service light. It felt like a turbo problem, and when checking with the diagnostic tool I got the P2263 diagnostic trouble code that indicates that there is a performance issue with the turbo/supercharger boost system.

At first I thought it would be an expensive turbo issue, but it ended up being something else, an easy fix that costs $0 and does not require any special tools.

I had the same issue, though it didn't get to the stage of lights on the dashboard. I followed your instructions and its seems to have made a big difference. The acceleration is now a lot smoother. Time will tell if it has resolved it for good. but at least now I know where to look. I might still swap the old sensor out for a new MAP sensor.

After years of having to deal with this issue periodically coming on or off after 2000-3000 rpm usually on motorways im hoping this solves my issue. So far locally it has worked. Now time for a motorway test

This is the first picture of a Renault 1.5 DCi that i have seen where the pipes and all the other things that mount on the engine look exactly like they do on my 2011 Modus 88. Can you tell me the exact model of your Clio please, it would be very useful to know?

I face a similar issue with my scenic but no fault codes on. When I approach 2000rpm to 3.000rpm the car struggles to increase rpms . I don’t know if it is the same problem as yours. But my garage can’t find exactly the problem due to the fact that there are no fault codes . Could you please clarify if it is seems to you as a similar problem ? Thanks for your time
