Here the location is also specific, so what?
You may use At -- no problem but why do you say Of is wrong.
Even we often see Of in various certificates issued by the Universities.
2) What's wrong if we write as ---
Open page 45 in your book / books.
Contrary, Open your books to page 45. (American ) / Open your books at page 45. ( British ) -- both are correct .

Sentence 2 : news is a non-count name so I read the news in the papers but I read that piece of news etc…. Same goes for information, advice and so on. In native English at least.

But Number 7, when you are commenting on something, a comma makes that clear to the reader. Failing to use the comma can create confusion. (Thus: John is married, with two children.)
