This is a great video at highlighting the differences between Western and Eastern Catholicism, but it doesn't answer the reason for the current schism. As you mentioned towards the end, there are 22 Eastern churches that are in full communion with Rome. And these churches have all the soft and hard traditions of Orthodoxy - icons, the filioque, leavened bread, infant communion, etc. Not even clerical abstinence is a barrier since Rome recognizes married clergy in both the Eastern rites and in Anglican rite. So these reasons are not what is preventing reunification. The barrier is simple: papal primacy.

Very simply, the Orthodox only want communion with Rome, not ecclesiastical integration. Rome wants the opposite. Until Rome backs down, things will go nowhere.

there were others Protocols disputed. Marriage among clegy was a biggie. The calendar was also disputed. The ecumenical minutes are all available for all to read. they are available online.
