Paul, I want you to know that I'm blaming you. In January I was randomly looking at videos and ran across one of yours. I was hooked! Now I'm an official KDP Publisiher with ADDHD. In my new hobby, I have mapped out 536, 847 Low Cntent books to finish before I die. At 75, I'll probably need to live to at least 235. I just hope I can make some money. Jeannie

I’m found this video helpful and to be honest your videos are straight to the point and comprehensive compared to other KDP related videos I had watched on YouTube. Before publishing my first book on Amazon KDP, I took time to watch all your previous and current videos to know this business for the past 3months before publishing my first low content book last week and I wasn’t taken aback cos of your knowledgeable videos you shared. I even went far as watching and downloading videos on graphic designing on how to design my books and I’m improving and learning everyday. Thanks sir Paul for be a blessing and inspiration to my life 🙏🙏🙏

Awesome video Paul - very helpful! I just wanted to note something I discovered in terms of the slow "save" function that you mentioned on the new Bookbolt cover creator software: there's a button up on the top panel that allows you to toggle whether you'd like the "autosave" feature to be on or off (it defaults to on). You can by-pass the super delayed "autosave" by hitting the blue "save" button immediately after completing your changes - or you can toggle the switch off altogether allowing for only manual saving. I find this to be so much less frustrating than waiting for the slow autosave which I was doing the first few times I was using it and getting so frustrated. Overall I'm loving the new Bookbolt software and finding that it saves me SO much time in terms of sizing my books and covers correctly. It's been a game-changer for me.

Another great video. I really enjoyed the comparison chart and it made me more familiar with what's on offer out there, especially for beginners. Thank you!

I prefer Illustrator. I find those other programs frustrating and lacking.

Thanks for the video, Paul. Today, I uploaded a Halloween journal but it's not a typical journal, it's in a specific niche and also a log book of mine have been now listed on the Amazon marketplace so now I have 3 books now listed on Amazon, waiting for my Halloween journal and my log book centered around women's health to be approved and listed on the marketplace. I used Canva to design the covers for my books and my interiors too sometimes and sometimes Powerpoint (depends on the book) though. I'll be getting a copy of a aviation style composition notebook I made today in the mail and I'm going to use that and promote that on my social media (Facebook and Instagram). Tomorrow, I'm going to start on the first book of my brand of books (coloring books, puzzles books, and mazes books)

Thanks Paul. Super helpful video. I have several books selling on KDP but all were created by designers and formatters for me at cost. This video is giving me more confidence to think about doing new books and covers myself, saving money and becoming profitable faster. Greatly appreciated.

Hi Paul & KDP family - help please! I’ve managed to create a few books and successfully uploaded- just waiting for my first sale. I have Canva pro but my problem is I can never drop a pdf when I’m uploading interiors etc to edit. It throws a warning that it’s not an acceptable format. For example I get interior from Creative Fabrica (pro) and download. Open zip for relevant pdf but I then either have to convert to Jpeg, png etc which I can then drop in but then it’s page by page 😟, I just can’t fathom why I can’t drag n drop pdf’s when I see people doing it all the time? Hope that makes sense! Any help gratefully accepted as it will cut my interior construction time vastly. Finally, a huge thank you to Paul who through his channel, introduced me and trained me into this KDP world which I’m obsessed with even if I’ve yet to make a sale. Marketing will be my next learning curve. Have a lovely day whenever you are in the world x

Thank you so much Paul, for making useful videos. I'm very new to this bussiness and would like to start doing it, but I'm a little cautious and have a few questions:

1. Can we start working with BookBolt for 2-3 months, make some books, and then cancel our account (stop paying)? I mean can we work with BookBolt only a few months a year, only when we want to produce a book?

2. Can we upload our product to Amazon not under our real name? (Like using an artistic name for advertising or exhibiting our product to the public)

3. If we want to work with Canva, how can we make sure that the cover page dimensions are correct? I mean can we download cover template from KDP cover design and upload them in Canva?

Thanks for your advice🙏🏼.

Very helpful, thank you. I currently use Book Bolt and Canva and find both useful without a huge learning curve. Didn't realize you were in Australia, how are you liking it there?

Sounds like Canva and Book Bolt combined is good thing but if you're creating first coloring book or word search which should i go for?

Great video. Book bolt puzzle creator is good, but way overpriced. There are free alternatives out there. The only downside: they can only create one puzzle at the time, so it's very time consuming if you have 100 puzzles.

Hi Paul,
Thank you so much for all of the resources! This channel has been so helpful in my journey with KDP. I have one question regarding getting my designs approved. I am following the outline for my journals through the Amazon KDP cover template calculator, however my designs keep getting rejected and given this comment: "Resize the background or image on your cover so that it extends 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. All covers must be sized for bleed, which means you need to add an extra 0.125" (3.2 mm) along the top, bottom, and sides of your cover file. Once you have increased the size of your cover, extend any images or backgrounds that you want to reach all the way to the edge of the page 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line." I have attempted to resize multiple times with no luck. Do you have any suggestion or know why I might be running into this issue? Thanks!

I spent all day yesterday watching and rewatching ur videos. I greatly appreciate the step by step. I was wondering how frequently you get paid. And also if u choose to use Amazon advertisment/ sponsor does that money get paid upfront or also come out of printing costs?

I have read that some software has fonts that you can't use in books because they aren't licensed for use internationally or however books are printed? Do you know if Affinity or these other programs allow their fonts to be used in published books? I have heard that you have to buy fonts that allow you to publish internationally.
