The message I'm getting from this song is that he is reminiscing when he and his partner were in their happy and secure place where everything they felt and experienced was truly joyous, satisfactory and full of elation with no room for doubt, fear, or anything else that is sinister and neferious! He's wondering how they can get back there and stay there eternally!
