Acorn RiscPC600 - Part 2 - PSU Stripdown

In todays video, we continue with my RiscPC 600 series.

I have taken the PSU out of the machine, and discovered a number of components, that appear to have blown. A series of resistors, a regulator and a diode, appear to have failed.

I have managed to locate and purchase a spare PSU, but, I am going to attempt to repair this one, given that RiscPC PSUs are not all that common. I may also see if it is viable to transfer the contents of a suitably sized PC PSU, such as one destined for a desktop Dell Optiplex 755, or similar, to the RiscPC PSU chassis. The RiscPC PSU, is sort of similar to an old PC AT supply, given that it has the 'clicky' 'hot' power button, as opposed to the soft start button, found in newer ATX supplies. It will be an interesting project.
