From the first time I have heard this song till now, it has struck a cord with me. The opening lyrics say "they sent me away to find them a chest filled with diamonds and gold" to me it translates as the expectations of everyone around you to succeed to be something that they want you to be, something that is not *you* . the refrain, to me at least, talks about the tipping point where some one starts to crack and let there darkness seep out, slowly becoming the monsters and demons that they have grown to know.... In the end they become the demons that they had locked a way.... *I am the monster that you have created*
