I saw an interview probably with his daughter and it sounds like she helped a lot of people. Thank God for her and the other ones that helped.

I was on my way to New Orleans, when I got a call from the guys who were picking up some furniture from my house. I was going to leave it outside, but decided to wait, since they had called. Got gas afterwards. Got ready to get on the interstate and saw my gps says it was going to take 2 1/2 hours to get to the city. I felt something was wrong. It should’ve taken me 45 minutes from hammond. I got off just before getting on the bridge and came back home. Thank Hod I did.

It's not the weather's fault. As always. Its dumb drivers. If you can't see. Slow the hell down and get off your cell phone!

I drove the Causeway northbound at 6 am - very few people on the bridge - smoke smell strong. I think I-55 had denser superfog. They shut down the bridge going soundbound before I reached the northshore and I believe 2 accidents occured. They are expecting the same conditions Tuesday and Wednesday

Just like a reporter! Not listening to the person your interacting with! The man clearly told you he was taking his daughter to the airport! Engage with the people your talking to! Very unprofessional and insulting!

They did this in San Francisco and Oakland a couple weeks ago and blamed it on Oregon fires, the smell was horrendous and did not smell like so called wildfire smoke. 😵‍💫

People speed. Even when there is fog snow rain. I have seen people speeding 75 80 100. People need to slow down. Slow down please 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This could of been avoided. But no, the combination of speed and following too closely you get this. Oh, and add the cell phones and you get tragic consequences.

Is there an industry located close to the wreck who might be responsible for the super fog? The lawyer's will be all over this.

55-70 mph in heavy fog and smoke?? Wowww how indicative of the actual reason why this happened!! Driving too fast and tailgating!!
