I was fortunate to meet Selena at a concert in San Marcos, TX in 1992. She was so nice and so humble. I was able to get her autograph on a two dollar bill after her performance. I still have it today. The two dollar bill was given to me as a good luck gift as I was about to head to the Army. The person that gave it to me was a family friend and Vietnam Combat veteran. I have often thought about framing that two dollar bill and giving it to Mr. Quintanilla as a remembrance of his daughter. Texas lost the Queen of Tejano and an Icon! Your legacy and contribution to Tejano music will live forever Selena. ❤🌹

I’m 40 and I became a fan after I saw her in the telenovela “dos mujeres un Camino”. When she passed I cried as if I had known her. I was in 4th grade. She really had a huge impact on many, and still does. My now 5 and 7 year old girls know who she is and sing her songs.
