Is your Polaris RZR, Ranger or General's water pump weep hole leaking coolant? If so, the mechanicsal seal on your water pump has gone bad and in need of replacement. If left unchecked for too long this small problem can lead to serious damage to your engine. In this video, Charles shows how to properly rebuild the water pump and replace the seal on a 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000, but this process will be very similar for other RZR 900 and 1000 models, as well as Polaris Ranger and General models with external water pumps.

I have a 2020 Highlifter 1000XP. My water pump has what Polaris calls a “Filter” between the water pump and engine block. It’s like a foam gasket. I’m guessing it covers the weep hole up and helps with sand getting in. Part # 5814207.

I have oil residue under mine. I’m guessing the o-rings are shot? Is there any other oils seal I need to replace? Anything on the shaft in the motor?

Just wanted to ask to make sure. Did you say it could also leak oil and/or coolant out of the weep hole? I think mine is leaking both. Thanks for the video!

Where is the filter that goes around it? Currently installing a water pump and my pump did not come with one but the pump I removed had one on it. Is it just not that important?

Would you happen to know what size the longer bolts are that bolt it to the motor

Can someone point to the correct pump kit referenced in this video? It appears that the Tusk water pump kit on the website doesn't allow selecting UTVs but according to the photos for the Tusk kit, it seems to look like the correct seal and O-ring for the water pump in my 2017 XPT.
