Alright, enough messing around! You need to know how to solve algebraic equations, and I'm here to explain it to you. Let's start with the very basics. What are we doing when we solve equations? We are systematically undoing all the operations that a variable is participating in. What does that mean? Take a look!

You totally still get the correct result if you do it in regular PEMDAS order, it just takes more steps and thus reverse makes solving more intuitive. But in normal order you would divide all terms by -1, leaving you with -4 + b = -7. Then you would add 4 to both sides, leaving you with b = -3. But since you didn't cover terms yet, I guess most people would be lost with my explanation

Oh. My. Gosh. I was Alr ahead of this type of math but when I learned new strategies like what you teach stuff gets wayyyy easier

you can also try this take the variables to the RHS and numbers to the LHS but change the signs so if a number in RHS say for example 2 is negative so (-2) you can take it to LHS make it positive and continue doing this hope this helps somebody :3

1) x + 6 = 13
x = 13 - 6 = 7
7 + 6 = 13

2) x - 4 = 1
x − 4 + 4 = 4 + 1
x = 5
5 - 4 = 1

3) 5x = 70
70/5 = 14
5x14 =70

4) x/3 = 9
9*3 = 27
27/3 = 9
