I live in NE Texas and have found beautiful petrified wood specimens on our property. There are chips of petrified wood everywhere, every step you take. After every winter I can’t wait to go out and explore to see what’s been newly uncovered. I’ve even found a few large ( 6-8 “) granite river rocks.
