Idk if you still need to know this by now, but one way is to target Alpha Strike directly at the enemy champ. If you don't want to do that, target an enemy minion/creep that doesn't have below 1/4 health near the enemy champion.

and how does you know when the double strike comes, to you count it?

How do you actually stop at the champion instead of come back at the starting point with Alpha strike?

I got hit for 1540 damage in one shot by a Yi player in a game I was just in. (680 basic attack, 720 Double Strike, 140 Alpha Strike)

Dead before I knew what was happening.
