EV 'Gas Station' Opens in SoCal with Chargers, Gourmet Food, Lounge & More

A new type of service station dedicated to electric cars is opening in Santa Ana. Rove has 40 chargers that connect to all EV car brands, car wash, lounge with free WiFi, clean restrooms and even a Gelsons mini-market.

Yes, these types of refilling station / rest stops should be everywhere. Charging $0.56 / kWh however, is pretty expensive, so one would hope they would be able to do a better job of keeping charge prices more reasonable. We pay $.15 / kWh
