DaVinci Resolve Crashing on Render 😤 Quick Easy Fix 😤 Why does DaVinci Resolve Crash Rendering?

Hey everyone! Welcome to another DaVinci Resolve Tutorial by Laura. In this video, I'll show you some fixes to stop DaVinci Resolve 18.6 from crashing while rendering.
Don't worry if you're new to video editing or not too tech savvy, I'll guide you through the whole process in under 2 minutes using DaVinci Resolve version 18.6 on Windows.

Tip 1: Update graphics drivers!
Tip 2: Update your ram, if possible.
Tip 3: Turn the video off during render
Tip 4: Lower the speed during your rendering process
Tip 5: Change default graphics driver in Memory and GPU settings.

thanks, i never had seen the render speed setting! it's kind of crazy that resolve doesn't just... dynamically lower this when it runs into issues instead of just crashing... I've been trying really hard to get into resolve and issues like this really show that as great as it is... it really is lacking some major things that i'd expect from pro level software. Thank goodness there's people like you out here helping everyone out by sharing tips though! really saving me ass!

Thank you!! I tried just turning the render update off, but it crashed (again) after a few percent. I then tried turning down the render speed to 50 and it worked great! After the render I realized that the update had turned itself back on with the reboot, so the render speed was the problem. Full disclosure, my desktop is underpowered for such things but it still worked.
