Hi Chris. I found my answer in your other videos. I think my red factor male is more sensitive to light exposure than my yellow hen. I keep my canaries in a large cage. I'm making sure they get natural light outside. My laundry room has only 1 window, so the amount of light doesn't quite match the outside. But it's close. I just bought my red factor male over a month ago from a pet store. And I bought my yellow hen from a breeder last June. The male turned 1 year old this January. And the female is turning 2 years old on April 1st. My red factor male is singing more now. Keep up the nice work with your videos!

You are not the only one having a messy birdshed. It is a problem almost every birdkeeper has (like myself haha).

Hi Chris, thanks for this update. Can you consider doing a video explaining how you got your Gouldian finches to parent rear please?
Thanks

Great way to utilise your males Chris. I love how flexible the Canaries are, looking forward to your Gouldians breeding season, mine have already started here which seems earlier than normal 🤞👍👍

Hi Chris. Awesome videos! I'm hoping my canaries would breed soon. I have a Red Factor male and a yellow hen. My Red Factor is getting over his light moult since late February this year. He hasn't been singing much. I know he is trying to conserve energy. I've been feeding him color feed for red canaries, eggs and seeds. Would my canary breed if he's moulting? I think he's over it, since I don't see him shedding any more feathers. My yellow hen has been playing around with the nesting material since March 15th. So, I guess they'll start breeding next month.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
