This was very emotional for me personally....I did 16 and a half years...yes, YEARS and when I was released I had a job waiting for me and I went to work the next day. And hear me when I say this, I thank "GOD" for the grace and mercy He showed me through the people He put in my pathway to help me transition after I got. I've been out now for almost 18 years and haven't looked back (other than to send those I left behind a little something when I can). The journey hasn't been a cakewalk, but it is possible to come out and make it. We're out here...

I can relate to this brother, cause I served a year in prison back in 2002 for dealing drugs!Im glad I went to jail, cause I needed to that time to reflect on my mistakes in life!When I got out, it took me 2 weeks to find employment and I been doing good every since they let me out!Now I tell my story to other guys in the streets and they listen to me!Family means a lot to me, because they had my back when I was in prison!I also just got back into church and it really feels good!When you get older, you see things differently!I felt like God let me go thru those bad times to show others which way to go in life!Same thing Joseph in the Bible went thru when his brothers threw him in the pit and sold him into slavery, but he ended up saving their lives and they lived with him many years!
