This looks good! Dark skin female lead not in the hood living a struggle lifestyle or playing the best friend role.

I am just happy Netflix finally has a show with a dark skinned girl as the lead, with her just being and not focused around race

FYI, this is based on a true story. I don’t know why Netflix is not saying it but I recognize the story from real events that happened in South Africa to a similar young girl

As a Nigerian, it's nice to see African shows on Netflix getting some recognition and I'm be sure to tune in as soon as it drops. Hopefully, we'll be seeing trailers and promotions for Nigerians shows in the future.

Wasn't there a real kidnapping case in South Africa, where a baby girl went missing for years, was raised by her kidnappers and ended up attending the same school as her bio sister?

The plot seems interesting. A mystery for the viewers to follow along. The character are also a nice change. Black character that actually fall in love with other black characters. Who woulda thought Netflix was capable. This gives me South African Élite vibes, but I like it. Overall, this looks promising.

I just finished the season, and it is a yes for me all the way. The complex story line and relationships between the characters, the quality of cinematography, and the diversity of the cast with a dark skin lead representation that doesn’t have the stereotypical poverty and violence themes that you always see about Africa. I love how they spoke English but also spoke in native language as well. Shows like this change the negative narratives about Africa. Can’t wait for season 2
