Make Me Laugh: Howie Mandel & Dr. Joyce Brothers (1985)

Here's a piece of the episode of Make Me Laugh with Dr. Joyce Brothers & Howie Mandel, I've noticed some people online who have mentioned this saying 'I wish I could see this again', but nobody seems to have it! So finally, here it is!
This is Howie's impersonation of 'The Chip Monk'. This is back when Make Me Laugh was airing on the USA Network in the mid 80's, I wish I could find more people who have full episodes of the 80's run from USA Network, but it seems extremely rare.
I've got more of this episode on DVD-R, along with a 20/20 Special on Billy Crystal from '85 as well.
Also note: Is that Howie SHAKING HANDS with the contestants? I guess he didn't have that germ phobia in the 80's huh?
I mainly trade ultra rare metal stuff, but I do have all kinds of other 80's TV treasures in my collection too.
I'll send you my full list as a response. So please write me if you have anything.

This brought back good memories of my mom and I watching this together when I was a kid. I owe my sense of humor to her. ☺️

Hey Howie! I was on make me laugh with you and Dr Joyce, you almost got me! You had on a diaper, and you carried a child's doll. I had to pinch my thighs too not laugh. Need the $ for a root canal. You saved my life and I have loved you from then on.

I loves this gameshow! I loved the unknown comic, howie Mandel, and the one with the mustache, Bruce...forgot his last name

He did shake hands a lot back then, but in his book he said that every time he shook hands with people, inside he was DYING. He had wanted to refuse handshakes then, but he didn't want to come across as rude.

Look how far he has gone and the many accomplishments he has. It all started with a dare from a friend to get on stage at a comedy club.

Long before there was Steve Wilkos, there was Howie Mandel with Bobby's hair of course.

I’m surprised this did not make the rounds on TV land in the late 90s

Howie (who is originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada) was host of the American version of 'Deal or No Deal'; when it was aired on NBC, the cases had various amounts of money ranging from one penny (1¢) to $1, 000, 000 (that version spawned a board game, a hand-held game, a Nintendo DS game, a DVD game [which I had won the $1, 000, 000 only once], and even a game [which can be downloaded onto your iPad for free from the App Store]). However, when the show was aired in syndication, the lowest-valued case remained at one penny (1¢) but the highest-valued case was reduced from $1, 000, 000 to $500, 000.

Howie's Canadian accent was thicker than a slab of back bacon back then.

How could this show be from 1985? The host, Bobby Van, died in 1980.

This can't be 1985 because Bobby Van passed away in 1980.

This could not be 1985. Bobby Van passed in 1980. Great show though.

It's a shame that material would not fly today...the accent and the word he said instead of "Asian."
