Disability, chronic back pain and chronic leg pain in general is becoming more common. I personally prefer to sit bc of the pain i’m in when i attend concerts but i still want to experience them

I was at the billie show that she said that about! For some context, in her set list she had played a couple slow sad songs that you couldn’t rlly dance to unlike a bunch of others that she played. It felt better to sit down and immerse yourself in the music than to awkwardly stand and record.

I feel like big stadiums are always hard energy-wise. That‘s why i love smaller venues!! I saw Lorde in 2022 in a venue with like 500 other people and it was so great, everyone was dancing and active it was so cool

To be fair, there are a lot of layers to this.

Some people go to the concert to say they’ve been there and brag about it.

Some people don’t really like to dance or sing because they want to focus on the performance or they dont want to be in the way.

But no one ever talks about how tiring the whole process of going to a concert is. Like idk about you but when I go to a concert, I mostly have to travel 2+ hours by train, before i even travel i need to put on my outfit, makeup and prepare myself to go, traveling, arriving there early cause you want a good spot. Standing in line for several hours stressing cause you can’t go anywhere else. When you can finally get inside the venue, it’s so crowded despite going early and you’re fighting for that good spot. (Not literally. Dont fight at concerts guys). Then you have to wair a long time before the artist actually starts performing. When the artist starts performing, you’ve already done so much and waited so long for this moment, so you give your last bit of energy to enjoy it, even tho I was mostly in pain at the end from all the walking and stressing. No wonder people sit down at the end of a long and rough day.

Not only the artists have these intense performances, the people coming to the concerts also put a lot of effort in mostly. So it’s a bit unfair for artists to say that the energy is too low. At least they came to your concert, you know. Put all the effort in. (AND MONEY MIND YOU, it’s a lot of damn money)

i could go to my favorite artist of all time’s concert and i’d still probably either just sit or stand there and enjoy it, some people just don’t want to dance/sing along

I was at a @Faun concert in Chicago two weeks ago, it's a German pagan folk band who sings mostly in German . The energy was ppl were jumping up and down or dancing or worshipping Odin and screaming and asking for " one more song " and the band stayed overtime and played three more songs for us. It was one electric energy night crazy high vibes and amazing energy. So in my opinion it depends what kinda concert we are talking about 😂😅

I have back pain, I’m always super happy when I can sit at concerts 😅 edit: to the kids calling me old, I am in my mid 20's. Back pain is gonna hit y'all sooner than you think.

It’s sad but who’s even shocked.. concerts are not easy for people anymore.. they are mostly uncomfortable, non-accessible, difficult to plan and super expensive.

It’s only wealthy people who can afford to take time off and the tickets who can go and most of them usually don’t listen to music for an escape or enjoyment from life.
