Google did start to move towards this. If you asked Google a question, often Google provides the direct answer on the results page without you having to click to another website. However, this presented copyright concerns because Google was stealing content from the website. Perplexity is better because it learns from multiple sources and then provides you with AI composed answer rather than just direct quotes from other websites.

I haven't used Google, Bing or any of the other search engines since I got perplexity a month or so ago. Why use a search engine when you can use an answer engine?

He's gonna fail. Unless it becomes better than the perplexity I used now, there are better AIs and I bet being able to have a conversation with the machine is better than getting a quick answer. Claude, Grok, and Inflection-2 are very good at that now.

They're literally losing money and get most if not almost all of the funding from investors and stuff. It really isn't sustainable that much though. As it's a freemium service and everyone can get amazing things out of it with amazing web searches and the ability to use features from various different popular AIs so you can get the best out of all of them creating best AIs for you in certain cases

What i don't understand is that in this world of equality just about anyone can enter the business world. The new industry trend is AI and it seemed to me its all Men. Where are the women? Are you telling its still men's fault? Women are as smart as men so why aren't women jumping all over this? It should be full of women by now. Yet the industry is being led men.

I don't like the sounds of it but women seem to let men pave the way and hijack the success by focusing that these companies lack diversity and forces their way into the boards and top management regardless of their skills and capabilities.
