Groundbreaking Ceremony held on June 10, 2014 to celebrate USAA's new Tampa campus. Governor Rick Scott, Commissioner Mark Sharpe, and Mayor Bob Buckhorn were in attendance.

For more than 40 years, Tampa has been a critical part of USAA's success as an association in support of its members: the men and women of the military and their families. That's why, on Tuesday, June 10, USAA will break ground on a new facility that will further cement its commitment to Tampa and will celebrate the addition of hundreds of new employees to help its membership, which is now more than 10.3 million strong.

USAA first began operations in Tampa in a small office next to the airport. Since then, Tampa operations have expanded as USAA membership has grown -- from a handful of employees in that small office to more than 2,500 today. Once the Crosstown location is open, USAA will have two permanent locations in Tampa -- one at Crosstown, the other on Commerce Park Boulevard.
