20 years ago back in high-school I must have been somewhat "woke" because I never wanted to be a walking advertisement for brand names. Even now I never wear clothes with logos. I've always understood sacrifice people make to make phones, clothes, shoes etc in factories. I spent 6 years in a factory making engine parts for Toyota. I will be the first to tell you these large corporations don't give a shit about you, your family or community. 6 years I breathed oil mist air from milling machines. The building didn't have proper ventilation. Low pay, low standards and unsafe working conditions are everywhere even the great USA 🇺🇸. USA- money and stuff first, environment and human life last.

If you wear Nike, that doesn't make you a bad person, but knowing the cost on the other side of what we may take for granted can be a valuable and informative lesson. I myself believe it is crucial to let your understanding speak for itself (sometimes this means not speaking at all) and to let nature take its course. However, those who desire to speak up and take action, such as Michael Moore, featured in this documentary, should be greatly admired. When facing any type of adversity, it helps to be vocal on behalf of those directly affected by the issue, who may not be able to speak up themselves. Clearly the AUD $230 my teenager paid for his much loved Nike trainers aren't to cover wages.. All CEO and well paid managers should work a week here. Out of the outrages profit for Nike Co. they are still not helping these loyal, hard working people. Truely sad shame on them..
