Doug from just up the highway here Marty, missed the live show and now catching up with the replay. I'm currently experimenting with living vertical trellises using sweet corn to support snowpeas and sunflowers to support cucumbers in raised beds, early days yet, I'll let you know how it works out. btw, you could ramp up your volume a little, my hearing isn't what it used to be and I had to use closed captions to follow what you were saying.

My husband is making me a new garden bed outside my sons room. It gets so hot in his room in summer. Im hoping to grow something vertical to cool his room and grow more food at the same time. Im not sure what to grow yet.

I’m sure they’d be some interesting Farms or Community Gardens in the Byron Shire that follow permaculture practices, perhaps in time you may be able to organise a visit to a few of them.
