Used to listen to this in the worst era of my life alone in upstate NYS fall 2023-spring 2024. Driving a stupid EDV for Amazon, going out in the frigid cold, working 14 hrs straight, coming home getting abused, but this song would keep me going. I felt like I had to hold on for something. My life isn’t perfect now, but I left it all behind. I drove away with my hatchback packed with whatever could fit from my 23 years at that point. I live in Utah now & every time I listen to this song, I think of that kid and how fucking brave I was to let go. Like the cover picture here, I wish I could reach across time and hug her in the snow, tell her just hold on & something better is coming. If you’re waiting for something, please hold on. I remember when I was a very young kid, I would go to my aunt’s house, then run to my cousin’s room, I would see them on their Xbox 360 in their messy room, I would sit there and watch them play call of duty or smth, and when I got the chance to use it, I would go and play the demo of sonic generations, I haven’t got the full nostalgia others felt, but I at least got a taste of it
