Lightroom to Instagram Export Settings

A couple of extra things to keep in mind:
1. The amount of sharpening you apply will depend on the photo
2. Your original photo needs to be in focus. You can’t make an out of focus image sharp with Lightroom
3. If I’m using a high MP camera like the A7RV, Hasselblad X2D, etc I’ll resize the longest side to 6000 pixels so my files are not too big

Instagram compresses it to 1350 on the long side. You might as well do that yourself when exiting instead of relying on Instagram commission.

For the last step, I find sharpening in the app as more effective... Or even output sharpening option while exporting in Lightroom.

So I use air drop MAC 🖥️ to IPHONE 📱 I’ve never seen a change in quality ( but maybe I could be wrong )

You don't really understand how resolution works. It's shame to listen some sort of "professional" advice and choose 300 dpi for saving digital photo for insta.

Why? Transfer to the phone to upload instead of doing it on the desktop?

Why set a high DPI for screen? 300 is meant for print

Does this include airdrop aswell or does that lose quality?

Is there image quality loss when transferring via airdrop from Mac to iPhone?

No point in doing this if Instagram is still crops and compresses the image.
