Its not apt for other day to day work is the fact that at the cost of degree of freedom it provides for movement, it makes it extremely cumbersome when you want to pee...

I'm a punjabi from Pakistan. My father still wear dhoti on routine basis, although the style is bit different from what the style shown in the vedio but watching him wearing dhoti gives me goosebumps sometimes idk why🤷 . Learning about India and Sanatana Dharma is so amazing and learning how to actually wear a Dhoti this way has taken me afew tries to get fully right and comfortable and not tight in some parts and un-evenly loose in others.
