Health experts warn about rise in bacterial pneumonia outbreak

What is the actual bacteria? Culture results.

We have had illness since July 31. That was strep throat. Two out of six tested positive for strep in the immediate family. (Note: Immediate meaning live with). My granddaughter, age 10, tested positive first for strep, it was a rapid test. I was tested 2nd and all my tests were negative. They did not send in a culture for the negative strep. My son tested positive for strep by rapid test. He was third. My health care provider refused twice to send in a culture. The second time I asked for a chest x-Ray, a culture again, and antibiotics. The provider asked me what type of ABX and for how long. Now my thought process was if two of three were positive by rapid why would I not get abx and since ithe rapid was negative, do a culture before the abx were taken. All of this occurred from July 31, 2024 and September 5, 2024. In the mean time the sickness begins again. Today 5/6 are coughing. Strep is a bacteria and one can acquire bacteria’s over and over. If all who were coughing had been cultured and tested with abx then this would have been avoided. Today is September 26. I had four days of fever last weekend and still can’t stop coughing. Green sputum. Now let’s talk about chest x-rays not being done correctly. Before I could take a deep breath in the picture was taken. Unbelievable. Healthcare needs an upgrade. Now let’s talk about antibiotic resistance. Start giving antibiotics for bacteria. Do do cultures in case the antibiotics are resistant to the disease. disease. Stop governing antibiotics to animals for prevention. Chick fi le now has to accept chickens that were given antibiotics. Indiana stopped this long ago on giving antibiotic to animals. I know I worked as a field epidemiologist for the state department of health.
