China is the world's most successful country, due in no small measurs to its political system. Why change it? And does western democracy actually work? Do US citizens decide US government policy? Typical Western discourse that does not understand Chinese culture and society. I live in China, after having lived most of my life in Europe and the US. China is already democratic, arguably much more than any so-called Western democracies. It's just a different kind of democracy, in line with Chinese culture and values. You can ask any Chinese people, they are very happy with the democracy they are enjoying. And the vast majority of Chinese people absolutely love their government. Nobody is interested in regime change. It's only some Western people who absolutely want Chinese people to change their government into something resembling their own. On the other hand, the Chinese have zero interest in exporting their political system.
