Another great lesson ! I've been practicing triads for a week and is a great thing in so many ways, now I'm starting to see and hear the notes on the fret-board, it takes a little time and patience to start creating good lines but I'm getting there thanks to you professor!

Thank you! i feel i have been told this but not explained so well! I know my triads, but when I play and target them it always sounds like I am just playing arpeggios. So when I am playing it either sounds like I am either playing scales or arpeggios. So I guess my next step is to see the scales around the triads and go in and out of the scales and triads of the chord but mainly target the triads and use the scale and notes outside of triad as passing tone for each chord?

Nice lesson. So these three shapes are played on the first three strings and are movable. Are there certain shaped chords for triads that are used as you go up the string sets or do shapes change? The Martin 000c junior looks and sounds nice. Thank you for the lessons.

At 13:38 you mention using a portion of the G major scale to walk up to the G triad. I'm curious though, what you do for the C chord (or the other chords)? Would you do the same walk up to the C triad using a portion of the G major scale or the C major scale?
