I live in Scranton, and this is a strange one. They have a round pizza too, which is what the review should have been on, but they seem to think their square is worth something. Its basically just old forge pizza with no real soul behind it. Made for the sake of competing and keeping up with what's popular in the region near it, basically. I wonder if THEY picked this, or maybe it was given to him because he was just trying the old forge style elsewhere?
The round is actually quite good. But I am surprised the square got a 7.4, which was similar to the other old forge scores. This is a 6.5 for me, where as most old forge pizza being 7.1, and the best being 7.9.
Their round though, I would say 7.8. Solid, good crisp but too oily.
I lean towards enjoying a round pie, or more traditional new york style though, after all these years of eating old forge pizza though.

dave got the specialty Square pizza its not the same cheese as a regular round ive been there very good pizza

As a person who lives in this area, this is called old forge pizza. You either love it or hate it. It's disgusting. We have some really excellent new York style pizza in the area. But what you really missed is a local specialty. Pizza by papas. Which is the most unique pan fried pizza. That is the best pizza in Scranton.

Check out Revelo's...not too far from Scranton in Old Forge, PA....totally different style of pizza. Different but delicious
