Thanks! This is a reoccurring problem for me and my cuts on my 10" miter saw have been less than I desired. I keep thinking one day I'll buy a 12" sliding compound miter, but I'm resistant since most of my cuts can be handled fine with my current saw. Can't wait to try some of these techniques out!

I tried the block and all that and the board ended up with 2 little nubs on the width edges.
Now I'm guessing that either my saw is not square, but I used my square and its square. Or the board isn't as square as it seems. It seems that if its the board its not perfectly square by about a 16th of an inch in degrees

What happens if you need to make a miter cut using the miter saw on a wide board?

Using stop block is based on perfectly 90° squared piece.

Need to invest in some additional cameras, some zooming in would have been great 👍
