There's something about this song that just instantly calms me down, and it has ever since I heard it for the first time. Whenever I'm nervous or anxious, I find this song and suddenly I believe that everything's going to be alright.

Used to play this every day after school, spring ‘09…

I listened to this ALL the time in the spring/summer of 2007, freshman year into sophomore year of high school. Such good times. Breezy warm days in the backyard with this playing

Descubrí a Led Zeppelin cuando tenía 15 años. Ahora tengo 20 años y le he cojido un gran cariño a esta banda. Esta canción en particular me recuerda aquellos tiempos de la prepa y es que ese Page es un grande de la guitarra.

5:54 is my favorite part of this song.. but this jam is sooo awesome.

john bonham's drums are underrated here. it's pretty simple but jimmy page plays real loose with the rhythm and bonham feels almost telepathically connected to it

Man i forgot this was on CODA, its such a clean version all the others are bootlegged that i heard you always had to crank it up blasting and destroying my hearing. Oh well, no one said listening to music was going to be a picnic.

Ah, yes I do love this tuning! Kashmir also uses DADGAD. It’s so fun to play for a novice! Easy monstrous sounding open chords

Does anyone know what instruments were being played on this track? Obviously guitar (electric Danelectro) but sounds like there is a bass and drum? Any details about the bass?

Rumors are that this nice tune is a rip off of some other artist. Not sure about that. I'm not much a musician or musically literate, but for virtuosity and speed, this sounds weirdly sloppy. There are tons of players who play faster and cleaner. And yet is sounds nice. I guess that was Page's artistry. But when I was young, Jimmy Page was considered a guitar god on the same level as Hendrix. I think his legacy has taken a few demotions in the internet age since we can now really compare more easily. Technically, for a virtuoso he's very mediocre. Of course, pure speed is nothing compared to sense and taste and artistry - which Page seems to excel at. But now we have to subtract points for his plagiarism. But in spite of all the very valid criticisms, Led Zep is still a legendary band, and Page was a pioneering rock musician.
