Scenes starting from the betrayal brought this movie down a lot but still there are lot of things to like in the movie.

Betrayal by sundeep and kalidas felt sudden i mean it was not properly shown, proper motive was not established

i find it quite ironic that i saw this film at a movie theater because it was playing at not one, not two, but three theaters within a 3 mile (oops sorry, 5 kilometer) radius of me. i chimed in at the end of your watch along to comment. i agree with your take on this though i think i enjoyed it a bit more than you because of the performance of the lead guy. The acting skills of Dhanush are quite remarkable. with that said, i miss boy next door, love struck, puppy eyed Dhanush. would love to see another rom-com staring him.

Also I noticed that Manickam's College Election scenes are completely unnecessary. If you removed those scenes it will not change a single thing in the story. They don't even show it as a reason for Manickam to betray Raayan (although if they did it would still not be convincing enough)
