UN: Indian population expected to rise by 300 million by 2050, overtaking China

Every July 11 is World Population Day. It was established by the United Nations (UN) in 1989. China remains the most populous country in the world. But, according to a UN report, it's set to be overtaken by India which is expected to add nearly three hundred million people by 2050.

And India is facing her worst unemployment crisis in 45 years as of now. If the Indian government cannot find useful employment for Indian youths, this additional 300 million would be a huge strain on the already scarce resources in India

Can India cope with such massive increases in population? Already 200 million Indians go to sleep hungry every night and 2 million Indian children die each year due to hunger according to Indian news channel wion. 70% of the world's malnourished children are from India according to UNICEF. That's just today what about 2050 when India's population would jump from the current 1.35 billion to 1.7 billion?

Would be nice to see how India, 3 times smaller then China, India 3, 287, 263 sq km, while China is 9, 596, 960 sq km. Will be able to sustain 300 million people, when it comes to clean water, food and land for housing :) But I guess that doesn't really matter does it ?

Maybe they should do what China does ornament how many children you have, it's crazy like people in Poland are not having children in the government is encouraging and to have more children, overpopulation is not good for any country!!!!

Since India does not treasure their youths as much as China, China can lure their best Indian minds to work in China, even better, give them Chinese citizenship if eligible . US did that to the the Indians. Indians are smart ppl, but their govt doesn't know how to make use of their talent. The ctry that has the best minds wins the world.
