Hi Jared, we’ve had our fifth wheel for about a year and a half, and you are the first one I have seen put out a video to pre-extend your front leveling jacks! We just figured that out about a month ago, we went through a lot of aggravation, hopefully someone else will see this video and have an easier time.

We use Anderson red buckets under our jacks and love them.

I have the 3.0 system on a '16 Grand Design 29RS and have been using it since March. We love it! I watch my neighbors messing with their blocks and jacks for 20 minutes and I push the button, smile and finish my sandwich. It does seem that the menus are more complicated than they need to be and a more simplified, intuitive system would be nice but it works

I had always been dropping the nose down below level before Auto Level. I learned something new today, I’ll try and start at hitch height. Thank you

Great tips! Maybe do a Vlog on calibrating step by step. Stay safe.

We found that when using Anderson Levelers, the RV would still move front to back even when the raised side was chocked. To remedy this we put rubber chocks around the wheels on the ground and use an X-chock for the wheels that are on Anderson’s.

Great info. We kept our level mate pro specifically to check sites for side to side levelness. If you lift your rig you can cause damage to your springs if the spring connections to the tandem coupler goes upside down!

Thank you. New to rv life and our auto Jack's said they extended too far.. Brought 3 of 4 wheels off ground. We put some blocks under a side and it leveled OK, but still have one side off ground (wheels) so we will revisit this tomorrow for a fix. We are learning as we go! Thanks. For the tips

Eyeball check yes. I’ve been manually leveling with a bubble level inside. We have a super C.
I’ve been touching the night side or end down first then being the low side up. Test or level fire and aft a needed. This seems to get all levelers down and tight first attempt. I Lao try to drive onto blocks to get the rig close before attempting the hydraulic leveling. Thanks Jered

Wire nuts and electrical tape. Had break wires rip loose while in the mountains. No breaks. I used some duck tape, but have since packed some wire nuts/wago connectors and electrical tape in my toolbox.

Great info. Will have to try some of the setup techniques you discussed. My unit levels too high when it's sloping down in the front.

Lol. They can be a real PIA. Mine is a lippert hydraulic and was constantly off to the left side and rear parked on the driveway. Reading that the click, click, click noise was due to stiction, I removed and added the proper amount of recommend oil and it solved the off level issue and the clicking.

I find using the info tab on the lippert screen inside the compartment works really well for pulling up to a site to check left and right level. I’ve learned if its 1.5 degrees or more to one side I’ll use those orange blocks to drive on as each block removes about 1 degree of slope preventing wheels for coming off the ground.

We have the Bigfoot system on ours and while it’s better than our previous 5er it still needs to be fine tuned after it says it’s level. That said it sure is nicer than our mechanical jacks from years ago.

Great content as always
I was surprised to see my auto level lift the tires off the ground
Of course I panicked lol.

I have the lippert electric and it hasn't worked correctly since it was new. Will try autoleveling itself after I put it almost level and it keep making these micro adjustments. Will never stop trying to adjust even when it's level. Have calibrated it once but maybe I should try again. I just do it manually now.
