Butcher Box is a delivery service for providing meats to your door. hey specialize in grass fed beef and antibiotic free meats. Similar to Omaha steaks, Butcher Box differs with a "green" approach. This extends to packaging as well as the meat. In this video I do a simple unboxing of what I really receive in a monthly Butcher Box.

The great thing about this company is that their meats are grass FINISHED. not grass 'fed'. The FDA has concluded that you can label your meats grass fed if they start out in a field and go directly into being grain fed. That means that many brands of meat out there are not truly grass finished. Just an fyi from someone who just learned this little tidbit this morning. :) p.s. just ordered my first mixed box today. excited!

They need to change their website. I click on "Choose your plan" and it doesn't show me the plans. It just wants my email to sign up. I want to look at the plans first before I give anything.

Just checked this service out. They want $7 for bacon for 10oz. I can go to my local store and get grass fed bacon 12oz for 6 bucks. They also want $15 for 2lb grass fed 85/15 ground beef, which I could get for $12 in stores. Unless going to a store once a week is inconvenient, or maybe if your in a large city, this just seems like a total rip off.

Just received my first order yesterday. It was on the porch for only about 15 minutes, but dry ice was almost gone (one tiny piece remained) The packages of chicken had soft spots, and hamburger and roast were soft on corners as well. Bacon was totally thawed. It was not frozen rock solid like this video! No tote in my order either! I do plan to cancel mine.

That's a great price for all of that, and especially since it's all organic, free range and chemical free.

I'm good on paying $6.50 per lb of ground beef when I pay not even $1. I buy a cow, several pigs, dozens of chickens and pay for them to be processed and still pay less than this sad monthly subscription box! Oh, and LOVE the a natural "green" box that's made out of "trees", the foil bubble wrap and foam inserts! Haha wtf.

My boxes were never shrink-wrapped. And the meat certainly wasn’t packed in a bag...loosely thrown in the box with skimpy dry ice that didn’t keep meat frozen. I had to throw away meat that was warm. They were loosely taped and falling open on delivery. I cancelled my account.

HOLY SHIT. You actually got a tote bag!?!?!?I got three months of BB and never got a bag, and half my meat each month was exposed because the packaging was broken. I never got to try their hamburgers because of it. 450 bucks worth of meat, and only half was edible.

I called them after each package and the service wasn't helpful either. The second month they took off 30 bucks for the inconvenience, but never really rectified the problems.

I even asked about the tote bags, and never received one.

is that 6 1lbs each ground beef pakcs? if so those are not worth more than $30-$40 in total. This looks to be a complete rip off. Ground beef is cheap even when grassfed and grass finished 100%. It amazes me that they are charging $129 per month for this type of box, cheap cuts of beef in sirloin and some chicken breast. I mean way over priced.

Omaha steaks are grain fed and not antibiotic or hormone free. Butcher Box Beef is also grass fed.

For the price that you pay I can go to my butcher my local butcher and get about four times as much as what you got in that bag

i buy this because i have a corn allergy and eating anything that is vegetarian fed can be horrible for me...the fact that these are both grass fed and finished is great for me
