I Hope They Make a Firmware Update With All The Video Features That The R5c Has Because Now That The R5c Supposedly / We Will See lol Fixed The Over Heating Debacle I Am Torn Between The Z9 and The R5c All The Video Features They Added To The R5c Makes It The Rite Camera For Me and i Was Going To Say Perfect BUT'' With Them Removing The IBIS i Can Not Say That and i Am Still Wearied About It Mite Over Heat In My Hot Climate But Again i Am Still Waiting For Apple To Announce a New MAC PRO So i Still Have Time To Make a Decision On a Camera👍🏼

Although you are primarily a Canon Shooter (which I take no issue with, I like all brands) I appreciate that you report updates and news on other camera brands as well. I'm new to video so I enjoy picking up info on video capabilities etc. Good luck with everything, no reason not to try something new, take care.

I would definitely choose a 400 f/2.8 with a built-in 1.4x teleconverter over a 600 f/4 even though it only nets a 560 f/4.
The extra $2K USD is pretty high but to be able to get the extra reach at a moment's notice without taking off the lens to add a teleconverter will be worth it for a lot of people in the target market.

As a Sony shooter it seems like Canon and Nikon are killing it with their firmware updates (more frequent, bigger improvements).

And this would actually matter quite a bit if I was to consider changing brand at some point. Similar to an iPhone or Tesla getting significantly better over time.

What’s your view on this topic. Who’s winning in improving the product most post launch?
