AMP Annealer Mate 2 Upgrade Parts Review

Показать описание
AMP sent me some beta test parts to upgrade my original AMP Mate. The complete AMP Mate 2 units are available now and the upgrade parts for the original AMP Mate will be available soon. Overall the install process was super easy and very straight forward but I would recommend taking pics of the unit before you start taking it apart so you don't lose track of where screws or cable went.
A couple of clarifying points about some of the parts.
1. The new USB is exactly the same as the old one however it is shorter. You should notice the same small ferrite bead on your old longer one.
The new PCB has been modified to be more robust against the interference the case hoppers were generating so now the large ferrite filter is no longer necessary.
2. The Servo motors for the “Eject” and “Insert” mechanisms are still the same as the original ones. The new PCB has been modified to supply them with more power hence they drive a little harder than the old green circuit boards made them.
3. The main two new features in the Eject mechanism is the addition of a purpose designed bracket to mount the limit switch to instead of using double sided tape to install it.
The reason for the switch is to ensure that a complete eject is achieved before continuing the cycle. If a case is stuck in the shell holder and does not eject then the switch will not be engaged by the eject lever and the cycle will pause allowing you to manually eject the case before pressing START to continue. The switch must be fully pressed by the eject lever before the cycle will continue.
They will be sending another batch of AMP MATE “Revised” models out early March as well as upgrade parts. The parts will be available individually so you can purchase each part to fix any specific problem the first amp mate has DISCLAIMER: This video and description contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, I’ll receive a small commission.
