Season five will chronicle the aftermath of last season’s horrific events and find the characters coming to terms with the consequences of their choices – as they make the realization that if they really want to change their futures, they must first face the past. Helen (Tierney) begins the season involved in an intoxicating new affair with a charismatic movie star (guest star Claes Bang), who offers to give her everything she’s been missing. Noah (West) meanwhile has to swallow his pride and his jealousy and step in to take care of his family in her absence. But just when things seem to have stabilized, a chance encounter with someone from the distant past sets in a motion a sequence of events that brings them both to their knees. Paquin stars as Alison and Cole’s now adult daughter Joanie Lockhart, who returns some years in the future to piece together the truth about what happened to her mother, bringing the whole story full circle.

How did a show that was so complete and rich for the first couple of seasons degrade to such a point that it thought it needed a character and plot like this? "To celebrate, well, me" and kissing his own hand? The writers for the first two seasons CANNOT be the same that spewed this shite out, and even introduced him at the end of season 3.
I grieve for the show that this was and lament what it became towards the end of season 4. The show started its descent after Cole left Morro Bay. After that, it raced towards a finish nobody was calling for, and certainly wanted to see rushed.

IF I could beat the ever living snot out of a fictional character, Furkat would be the one on the Affair, him and the actor/director/producer guy in S5.

Who in real life would ever date this guy I don’t know, just shows actors who are giving shit scripts have to make it sound like like real life because most of the time that’s what they are giving and they have to commit to to it no matter how bad it sounds when reading it.

Wow look at Whitney maturing, maybe the writers haven't completely blown this season to shit. Only time will tell, stop ruining the Noah character with these bullshit antics, Noah would not sing karaoke out of jealousy to his ex, lets be real. Ugh what has happened to my beloved Affair, seasons 1-2 the writing was so excellent.
