I remember the film Hamza al-Kateeb’s wife made about their life during the Siege of Aleppo inside the hospital he managed as they survived daily bombs. I can only imagine how happy he is his city is now librated eight years after he left in one of those infamous green buses!

The rebels captured more cities, they had more weapons depots, fuel depots and military logistics depots from the government army. And from there, they had more resources to attack and capture other cities.

What makes me feel bad is that the Syrian people have suffered so much for 13 years now and it will continue. And while Assad is a criminal, these rebels are fundamental islamists.
