Houses don’t go to destinations based on distance. They go based on “connectivity”. So unless it works out in a given pathway, you generally don’t want “all your blue houses” connected in the same road system because then they’ll go randomly to various supermarkets and imax cinemas!

The disadvantage of blocking the spawn is that when they do spawn it’s on the edge maybe if you leave spaces open where you want them to spawn would be better
