Rgb ram is only like 5 to 20 bucks more depending on the brand, getting that is not a bad idea, and a lot of cheap cases come with rgb anyway, it is ultimately up to you, but if it is within your budget and there is no meaningful upgrade you can make with the extra money I’d say go for it

Personally I like a stealth build. I don't like my room being lit up like a fireworks show especially since I sometimes sleep with system still on. It's all black and filled with nautica fans so it's super silent and chilly.

welp, i'mma keep that in mind for when I build my first pc. Thanks for the tips!

I was doing a high end build recently and I went for as little rgb as possible but i found it actually harder to find parts that are non rgb and sometimes they even cost more

There's literally a like a 10 dollar difference between non rgb and rgb ram sticks if you stay with ddr4. I like that i can make my ram frosty white like my fans and gpu. And cpu cooler

I literally don’t get any rgb on my systems. Because they’re used consumer laptops

Took me over a year after the build before I actually started adding visual appeal.
Build first
Beauty later.

RGB isn’t worth it. All black looks better

Tbh I'd still get a bit of rgb, so when the pc is old and not rlly powerfull, it still looks nice

I don't know why, but in every build I've done(Which is only 3) I have always wanted my chassis to have 5.25" Drive bays in them. Without it, it doesn't really feel like a PC.

I added a Blu-ray drive, a SD card reader, and 5.25" drive bay to my current build and it has an i9 13900k/rtx 4080 in it. And the ONLY light coming off my PC is the rgb in the graphics card lol.

For my upcoming build, I made sure there was no RGB whatsoever, and no LEDs either. I think that for the most part, RGB is overrated, but it can look very nice, though it requires more work as well.

I notice RGB is about the same in price now days. There was about 5 dollars in difference when I built my system. 32gb non rgb at the time I built my system was actually 10-20$ higher than what I paid for rgb.

Well RGB raises FPS so I think RGB is worth it.

I completely agree with the performance over aesthetics as I just bought a Dell XPS with a 3060 and a i9 12900 for around 2000 cad

I don't bother with RGB because of where I have my PCs set up- both their clear panels are blocked or facing away from me.

Nah, when i made my pc it's all performance i didn't think about design at all, just all performance.
