Honestly, the only reason Petey was a villain was because his dad betrayed him while his mom was sick. But he ends up "forgiving him" in Grime and punishment when he becomes good.

This is why Petey has one of my favorite character arcs. He was a pretty good villian in the first two books, but since book three (Tale of Two Kitties) He really has changed for the better, and he has a great backstory. And I just love the bond he starts to form once Lil Petey comes into his life. 😊

Petey was always one of my favorites when I was younger, he just had a lot of tragedy surrounding his character and it intrigued me while reading. Plus I have a soft spot in my heart for broken villains lol
