I love your Porsche content and it breaks my heart when you get rid of a Porsche(though I do understand your methods). You’re a great teacher Love your videos!

LOL, don't ever get married dude... You will be bored with the same ole ride within a year and the cost of ownership will be a lot higher than the GT4.

Reset computer is $175 on sale from SunCoast. Got the correct spark plugs for $60. Put permanent filters in for $170. Cabin filter is cleanable a few times. 981’s are not that bad if you do as much as you can yourself and use an Indy mechanic. I replace the differential fluid every other year for $40. Replace half the PDK fluid every year for $40. The spark plugs are a pain to replace on the front two cylinders. No way I’m going to a stealership though.

Porsche dealer wanted $1500 for spark plug and coil changed. I did my self. Got parts from pelican parts for $300. Saved $1200.

Good video. I had a 2018 Cayman GTS - fantastic car, just as you say. My issues with it were: expensive maintenance, low practicality, and there were places in town I wouldn't park it. So I replaced it with a Golf R, which solves all three of those problems, and is plenty fast enough. Sure the Golf R doesn't shift like a PDK, nor does it handle like the Cayman, but is so terrific otherwise I don't miss those things.

5:45 there is a DIY procedure for resetting the service reminder and it can easily be found on YT and Google. How in the heck did you get a GT4 for $55k?! Heck, I can't even find a nice S model in that range.

Man, it's gotta be tricky trying to find something of the same caliber or greater than the GT4 for $60k. Especially in this market. Seeing something a little older may be a good option until the market settles down and you want for the next real-deal sports car. I was also thinking about that GT350 you owned... paying $42k for a GT350 is unheard of now! $50k+ for even high mileage examples!

Sad to see it go dude! I just sold my 997 S a month ago. Loved the car but the current market makes it hard not to consider selling. Looking forward to the next fun car!

For me, other than the Carrera GT, the GT4 is the one I'd love to own and daily drive.

Rennlist listing was $63k. Hell of a deal to get what a picky person considered it as, 'easily the best he ever owned.' Congrats to the new owner. Looking forward to the next project on the channel!

$2, 200 seems a bit too high. I just did mine for $1, 200 w/o oil change. I bought a scan tool, so the oil change costs me around $90 and GT4 oil change is way easier than my SUV. I am waiting for GT4RS now. Porsche will announce in November however, I will keep my GT4 as long as the car stops moving.

Damn i would of killed to buy that for 60k My Dream car. I Just picked up a New 3.0 premium Supra for 53k. Its ok but nothing compared to the GT4

Spend $200 on a scan tool and reset the oil change light... That's what I do on my 981🙄

Absolutely agree with trying different cars, variety is the spice of life! I've had everything from Elise, 4C, to Panamera GTS and Jaguar XKR-S and a lot more in between. Would love to see your thoughts on the 987.2 Cayman S. Since you've had an Elise and a GT4, this car should slot right between the two in terms of rawness and overall feel. The Gen 2 Caymans are special, especially the "R" but prices on those cars have really taken off. The "S" can still be had in the mid-40's in great shape. Take a look!

I definitely understand the wanting to experience different cars. I currently have a gt350 and s2000. Both awesome cars. Been on the track with both.

Rennlist listing at $ 63 had the car a restored tittle? With the accident, wheel bend and more?

I can relate..went home a 993 that I racked, owned for 17 years, then your type off "fever" struck...Sold the 993, got a 2004 GTS...ho hum, tray was a Cayman 20-14 GTS, a performance monster, sold that, got a 2020 Mustang GT with Performance Package 1, sold that and get 2015 Cayman GTS, sold that, for a 2103 Carrera S, sold that and I have settled happily with a 2017 Carrera GTS...the best car I have ever owned, in my garage for 2 years, now getting the need for another car, maybe a 981 Cayman GT4, or a 718 my.

If you're scared to take a car to the track, then maybe a camry or something a soccer mom would buy like an AMG suv ;)

I just sold my dream car - an F430. Pretty heartbreaking so definitely feeling that vibe. Finding it extremely hard to replace. It's a can't live, can't live without scenario.. 😢
