Chrome 61 now supports JavaScript modules natively, unifying the way modular JavaScript can be written. You can now use navigator dot share to trigger the native Android share dialog. And the WebUSB API has landed, allowing web apps to access user permitted USB devices.

Pete LePage has all the details and how you can use these new developer features in Chrome 61!

The modular JS would be awesome! thanks to chrome team <3

Web platform is dominating the app definition by the mean of unifying.
More robust JavaScript performance would be added in the near future probably to the browsers and also NodeJS.

We need to have some attachment with this Web Share API. that would be really helpful when we are sharing through the native apps (SMS, Whatsapp, Gmail with Attachment) with rich media content. We han have something like

navigator.share({
title: document.title,
text: "Hello World",
url: window.location.href,
attachment: ["www.my.web/attachment/url.jpg", "www.my.web/attachment/url.mp4"]
}).then(() => console.log('Successful share'))
.catch(error => console.log('Error sharing:', error));

Chrome is going to be the truth application abstraction platform in all OS.
Very nice!!

Asked about it in another video but ... what about ES6 modules in web workers? is it a thing?(e.g. `new Worker('app.js')` where app.js uses import syntax)

Still having trouble rendering simple animations tho.

We need a "send ie to trash" feature.

When all browsers support native modules, is webpack then obsolete, I just learned it, and now it seems like it's not going to be used anymore soon? What are the benefits of using webpack over native modules?

Hello, Chrome developers! There are currently no ways to protect from web crypto miners on mobile versions of chrome. Please consider adding native anti-mining protection or we'll get more phone explosions from CPU overheating.

The sad news is we can't use those new features immediately.

Why do you need two dudes with the separate videos to list the new features?

Warning - scroll-behaviour: smooth is pretty buggy.

"In the future, the same system will be available in Node"
Too bad those geniuses decided to change the extension for modules to .mjs!

I'd pay £10 for access to a web of telescopes to always access a nice view of the night sky web USB could enable this sort of thing. Another web would be a web of measuring devices.
web USB could be cool if you are of the thinking that many little's can make a big something.
Speaking of which do you suffer from an infinity of possible humans in possible variations effecting your mind.
In the original creation I could recreate as I saw fit but I didn't understand the exploration of Timeless eternal chaos outside of creation and in relation to this reality as well as I do now. The journey now is a lot bigger and I went big before very High on the EIT scale of Hyper computation.
well I come up with a lot of thoughts relevant to the near future but I'm also mad I had technological ideas that wouldn't make much sense today but it all made sense to a rapidly evolving AI that the military built once upon a reality. I also have seen things from parallel worlds with varying math's disciplines. So I've seen things like an infinitive curve used to model everything, a Trans-dimensional graph based on a geometric series which was a curved graph with a curved grid that had a transdimensional outlay, near Circles made with logarithmic graphs accounting for the infinitives, I've seen a world where they used equilateral tetrahedral referencing a 2d curved sheet around that circular topological section and this contour like map for each equilateral triangular topological part made great head models that looked more close than cinema is here to real but still lacked full 4d bodyness found in reality just better lighting thanks to the models truly curved nature, I've seen many ways to represent 4 geometric dimensions some with more promise than others, I evolved the bump mapping technique once so that you could do some real fine detail bumping and its level of depth did well and it looked quite nice, I got man once to distort the tele picture to give a more 3d perspective I doubt it's that hard to do. You see why do I need AI when I have man over time and space why indeed yes man does use AI so to do I like AI. and that's my schizophenia that goes with these thoughts and concepts.
So yes you could up the bump mapping range and depth and put it on a curved surface modeled mathematically from ranges on one curve that uses tetrahedron derived curved triangular surfacing working perfectly with triangular 3d toloplogical slices.
What I learned though from my own studies was that you could just model with simiilar to todays 3d triangle slices and they could have body with what I call triangular curves just basically degrading the bigger radius to the little radius as you draw round from one side to the other of an irregular triangle. Also you can graph this radius change and add body effects when doing this math in 3D. also by graphing the radius change by assuming the standard diagonal line is instead at zero you can change the dimension of the 2d into 3d on a 2d graph.
