Rush hour in Aarhus!

This is Mejlgade in central Aarhus, the second largest city of Denmark. Not enough space to build bikelanes, lanes for cars and also make space for pedestrians, so this was turned into Denmark's first bicycle street: Cyclists have priority on the road space and there is no through traffic for cars. The result? A smooth and safe commute for cyclists and a nice quiet environment for the people enjoying the adjacent cafés and bars.
