My pixel 1 watch works easily 24 hours with always-on display and WiFi enabled. I do not know what you are doing with it if you are charging it twice per day.

Rental services is the integral reason that kills devices for me. I switched away from iphone because Apple's priorities became rental services. Same thing is true for Pixel Watch.
