Golden Freddy has been shown as a completely different character than Fredbear in some bits of lore as well and was likely planned as a fredbear 2.0 but after the bite incident, he was likely scrapped and never used

Fredbear’s family diner was a franchise, we know that. These different suits were just different animatronics from different locations

Canonicly there was only 2 Fredbears and 2 Spring bonnies.

The ones from the bite incident Are the main ones.
And the other ones were spare suits if Fredbear and Springbonnie needed repairs.

Springtrap is the original Suit from the Fnaf4 minigames. Where he came back after the Fazbear fire to take the spare suit. That being Scraptrap.

Where as golden Freddy is the second Fredbear suit. As the old one was either scrapped or went into storage, since the original suit was Way bulkier Than Golden Freddy.
If the original was scrapped maybe then the crying Child possesed the second Fredbear suit along with Cassady

Personally, unwithered fredbear and springtrap is how i see the duo, it makes the most sense for fredbear to be taller and more bulky since he is the head honcho.

I didn't really take that as frustrating, although gotta say: When FNAF vr released and everyone was shifting normal springbonnie sprites to glitchtrap, I was frustrated cuz of it. I mean it had many reasons... (Also after watching the short, I agree with you)

Something frustrating is that when you make a game that little makes details important. sometimes you overlook the fact that they just redesign or inconsistent details that don't matter.

I don't understand why people refuse to accept that Fredbear is just Freddy's FNaF 1 model with certain springlock elements. It looks so much better than just--"un-nightmared Fredbear?" That most fans like.

I don't think the designs will be very inconsistent now with one artist only working on the series since the one who made the art for the ITP spring bonnie and the one from the new kid (Ladyfizi) was fired after fan outcry.

Springbonnie could have so much more lore than just being a deathtrap (no pun intended)
But still the ominous character displayed in fan music videos (my example being: “Turmoil”) is why he’s one of my favourite characters
