Capiz and Siquijor made Manananggal copters are a lot more cheaper than these. It can operate with utmost accuracy at night with engine mount left at the base.

Ph should continue the Mi-171 deal, it's really a fitting heli for PAF, it's worth risking for. Besides, transport helis don't pose serious threat against US unlike Russia's S-400 airdef system purchased by Turkey, plus the US needs Ph's strategic location & improving abilities against China. So it's highly likely the US will let it slide, if not, then again, worth the risk.

Mi-171 has double the capacity than black hawks - a fine mix of medium-lift CUH & limited-heavy-lift - 2x troops for air assault, or 2x passengers during HADR ops, but can also allow heavy equipment transport. Her back-ramp serves as if she's a mini-chinook. Even the US uses mi-171
